Fishing Lure Components

In addition to the quality fishing gear that Kodiak Custom Fishing Tackle produces, a variety of fishing lure components and materials that we use to make some of our fishing lures are available in our online store as well.

You can have Kodiak Custom Fishing Tackle our way or yours! When it comes to making fishing lures, quality is job one. Our selection of lure components can be used to replace worn out parts on existing tackle, upgrade or modify gear that’s in your tackle box, or to make your own fishing lures!

Underwater LED Fishing Lure Light

LED flashing lights are vital fishing lure components that can be incorporated into a wide range of Kodiak Custom fresh and saltwater products. Replacement parts for our bottom fish jigs, rigged on tube jigs, and fastened to other fishing lures and bait set-ups are just a few examples of how we employ them. Other popular uses for Kodiak Custom underwater LED lights are attaching them to bait cages for attracting shrimp to your pots, crab to your traps, cod pot fishing, squid jigging, and more.

We offer LED “1-Eye” models with a swivel at the top of the flasher, “2-Eye” models with a swivel at the top and bottom of the flasher, and a plain model with a hole in the top and bottom of a spoon type LED fishing lure body that surrounds the flashing light. Kodiak Custom LED lights blink automatically when submerged in water. When removed from the water, properly cleaned, and dried, the light shuts off and remains in battery save mode until its next dive. Each flashing LED unit offers approx. 250-300 hrs. of continual flashing light.

Bottom Jig Weights

Whether fishing up in a water column or on the bottom, there is always a need for lead fishing weights of some sort on most fishing gear. Our bottom jig weights are on the heavy side of lead fishing lure components. Their initial purpose was to function as the lure body on Kodiak Custom bottom fish jigs and to increase the weight of our bottom jigs by attaching an extra jig weight to the top eyelet of a separate jig. However, Kodiak Custom jig weights can also be used as an inline (banana style) straight weight with a leader running behind it to a hook and bait for surf fishing, bottom fishing, mooching setups, and other purposes.

Bottom Jig Leaders

Kodiak Custom bottom jig leaders are built tough for heavy loads with 400 lb. test monofilament line and terminal tackle that’s made in the USA! Use our bottom jig leaders with Kodiak Custom bottom fish jigs, heavy lures, baited hooks, and more!

Hook and Lure Tubing

Our tubing can be used for dressing hooks or lures with fish attracting colors, to brighten up bottom fishing leaders and setups, as spacers for skirts beads and attractants on complex lure designs, or whatever comes to mind when colored tubing is desired for any fishing application.
